Tickling the Dragon’s Tail

Read these words carefully.

As long as you continue to feel defeated, you are!

And this thought process only tickles the tail of the dragon! They laugh while you feel desperate, they poke fun at you and it only makes things more intense. They want you to feel defeated! And alone!! This is how they keep their claws in your spirit…

The dragon is awake! He’s furious and he wants to destroy you.

For many, the subject of demons and spiritual warfare is frightening and they simply don’t know how to engage. As long as your have no battle plan, or techniques in which to fight…you will continue to feel this way.

I am writing this for those who feel lost.

Lost in your way! I have people who come to me that feel like they can’t go on…and they’ve tried every “trick” in the book to be set free from demons, but to no avail.

You see, this is not trickery. This is not going to end tomorrow, especially when you’ve given in.

I’m just a messenger. I give them the prayers to say but I’m not the answer. Jesus Christ is THE PATH. Jesus Christ is your WARRIOR but He can’t battle for you if you don’t fight too.

This is how you fight!

MIND GAMES

It all begins with the mind. They want to convince you that you’ve lost, even before you begin. Now, we have those who are strong in their conviction and demons have no hope of harassing them. But, then we have the weak…actually those are the souls the demons prefer! Preying on the weak is easier work for them. So, those who are weak usually have a major hole in their hedge…and have given demons some kind of legal right to enter into their zone.

Two zones: two paths…one to GOD, who wants to renew your mind through HIS Word; and the second path, are demons who try to pull you DOWN into their dark and evil path of living.

The two paths lead you somewhere. Either you believe or don’t believe. The first path is to GOD, and asking Jesus Christ into your life leads you to GOD. The second path is either you don’t believe in GOD, or you’ve given up.

Being spooked and paranoid is not the answer! To some people, if you speak of demons they instantly have an air of fear about them…demons love fear, they actually feed from it.

Or you are completely ignorant of their existence and the ways in which they operate.

ENGAGING THE ENEMY

Rules of engagement say that you can’t play with the devil and ask GOD to help you. Holding hands with demons will lead you down the path to hell.

You must TURN AROUND and FACE your demons.

1 Peter 5 (KJV)

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

When demons attack, they do so in two ways:

  1. They hide. Hiding in the dark so you don’t notice them. They hinder your progress…no matter what that may be. They seek to pull you under their spell.
  2. They try to play mind games by throwing out whispers inro your ear!

I see the trail of evil on my website all the time. Demons have put spells on people who come here to cause havoc. Driving away the goals you have set in your mind, and replacing them with anger and hate. You see, that’s all they see.

This is NOT a two-way street.

When they come…oh and don’t doubt it, they will come. And when they do they spread hate. This comes out by spewing garbage. The demons inside whisper to them what they want said…and like a good little puppet…they say it. The problem comes when you respond. Don’t!

John 10 (KJV)

10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more

abundantly.

Isaiah 56 (KJV)

10 His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.
11 Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

Did you catch that? They are blind. Blind to what they’re doing…or they know EXACTLY what they’re doing. Either path causes pain to themselves and others. Demons have no mercy on their victims. Death and destruction is their goal because that’s their destiny.

Planting thoughts, desires, and compulsions to do all kinds of horrible acts.

Mental strongholds are just that. A demon who has his dirty claws in you, and there in deep!

You see, demons cannot MAKE you do anything.

BATTLE COMMAND

What people don’t understand is the demons have to know you mean business! If you seek help and just argue with the people GOD has sent to you…then, your feeding the demons. They get stronger, while you get weaker. This is the battle.

Armor is what GOD gives us to battle the demonic.

Ephesians 6 (KJV)

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

The Whole Armor of God

BELT

The belt holds…the belt-known as the cingulum or balteus—held the Roman soldier’s scabbard and sword. Why would the belt be the first piece mentioned? Because it “girds on all other pieces of our armor”. Simply put…without the TRUTH girding us…we are unprepared for the world and its wickedness.

1 Peter 1 (KJV)

13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

Gird means to encircle/surround and secure, or protect. A belt and scabbard was a soldier’s defense and to a Believer, it brings to mind the Truth. The Truth of GOD come with instructions on how to live life, following GOD and not deviating from that path otherwise it leads to danger and that could lead to the risk of losing one’s life.

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

(John 14:6)

TRUTH-This also reminds me that the world is teaching people that all paths can lead to GOD. All religions lead to GOD? NO! Jesus Christ is The Only Path.

BREASTPLATE

The breastplate provides protection to some of the vital organs of the body. Blows to the heart,..etc.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. In a similar way, the journey to put on the breastplate of righteousness begins with a single choice. Life involves a series of choices; and this can lead to misery or happiness. Choosing The Word of GOD will lead you to HIM! This is true happiness.

1 Corinthians 10 (KJV)

5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

This simply means to cast away arguments, and everything that exalts itself agains’t GOD. Each action begins with it a thought, and our thoughts need to be brought in line with GOD’s Word. Correct choices in life flow from knowing GOD’S Word and acting on it.

FOOTWEAR

The word preparation used in Ephesians 6:15 comes from the Greek word hetoimasia. Vine’s Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words has the following to say about the use of the word hetoimasia in this context: “The Gospel itself is to be the firm footing of the believer, his walk being worthy of it and therefore a testimony in regard to it.”

This message provides the solid footing a Believer must have. The person with that solid footing has a sound foundation for facing the spiritual battles in life.

FIRM FOUNDATION-A solid belief and grounding of the Gospel brings with it, peace. Peace brings hope. Hope is what the Believer needs to remain focused.

Although the footwear are not the most popular of the Armor of God, they are vital…it is an important piece of armor for it leads…it leads the spirit to Truth–The Word of GOD.

SHIELD OF FAITH

The Roman shield, or scutum, was a central part of the soldier’s defense. The scutum was rectangular in shape and rounded on the ends. It was typically made from two sheets of wood that were glued together, then covered with canvas and leather. The canvas and leather could be doused with water to protect against flaming arrows.

The shield weighed about 22 pounds and was roughly 37 to 42 inches high and 27 to 33 inches across. A metal piece ran across the center of the shield, so it could also be used as a weapon to punch or push forward.

Fiery darts? A Roman soldier in battle was confronted by the arrows or fiery darts of the enemy, we, too, can be attacked at any time and at any angle by the wiles of Satan. The shield of faith is the armor GOD has given us to defend against those attacks. Raising the shield defends us against the attacks of Satan…but it also allows us to shield one another.

BUT–A shield can only be effective when it is raised!

FAITH is one of the most misunderstood words in the world! It describes something we cannot see.

The word faith in the New Testament is translated from the Greek word pistis, defined by Vine’s Complete Expository Dictionary as “firm belief.”

Faith is an unshakable belief in the promises of GOD.

HELMET

The Roman helmet, known as a galea, and considering mass manufacturing didn’t exist at that time, each helmet was created individually. It protects against blows to the head. Spiritually speaking, it protects against anything that could potentially destroy the mind. It provides hope which is an anchor, providing us stability and the ability to withstand the worst of storms.

1 Thessalonians 5 (KJV)

8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Isaiah 59 (KJV)

17 For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.

Your mind is vulnerable to attacks. Your brain can only be hit so many times without the risk of permanent damage. This echos the lies which the world throws at you! If your not protected you will believe anything, right? So, not only blows can hurt but so can false doctrines…it can lead you down the path of destruction…meaning-HELL!

So, we need to remain focused on our path, not straying away from where GOD leads us but also sustaining the journey with the ability to lock our vision on our destiny. Hope and faith, with the goal of salvation!

SWORD

Interestingly, the sword is the ONLY piece of Armor of GOD that is an offensive weapon. When addressing the other pieces, it’s all to defend…but the sword is for spiritual attacks.

The sword used by Roman soldiers was known as a gladius; and in the hands of a skilled man, it was a fearsome weapon. In fact, it became known as “the sword that conquered the world.” It was sharpened on both sides, making it lethal against an unarmored foe. The point was also sharpened, enabling it to pierce armor.

We are to use the Word of God as an arsenal! The sword helps us to discern thoughts and attitudes that are contrary to GOD’S way and as such we are to use it to bring those attitudes and thoughts into captivity.

This is a battle we fight daily.

We must train daily…becoming skillful at the use of the sword. This is the Word of GOD. This gives us knowledge and wisdom. Between the two we are given discernment. The discernment of good and evil.

We are to sharpen our sword daily….READ THE WORD! This keeps us focused.

The attitude and approach to the Word of GOD makes for a skilled spiritual warrior. The training and skill levels are what we are to practice on a daily basis and in not doing so, we allow the enemy to advance.

FORCEFIELD

This one is my addition! The forcefield of Prayer!

You see, prayer completes the FULL ARMOR OF GOD!

Lack of prayer is a sign of self-righteousness. Pride is what caused Lucifer to fall. The devil uses this same pride to injure us.

Did you know demons flee when we pray! So, why wouldn’t you want to pray knowing this? They will whisper into your ear that you don’t need to pray, and that it does no good because nothing changes.

This is tickling the dragon’s tail.

This is because once you begin to pray…there’s an invisible force field around you!

Paul tells us to BE ALERT…BE ON GUARD…and to pray, and don’t forget to pray for others.

Finally, here’s a GREAT book…it teaches spiritual warfare!

FINAL THOUGHTS

Tickling the dragon’s tale is happening all around the world.

People not using the knowledge and wisdom of The Word of GOD in their daily walk. Instead giving into the Devil’s tricks.
