This kind can come forth by nothing…

This blog site is my attempt to help people with issues of spiritual warfare by way of information, but I am but a messenger.

Please remember that ONLY GOD can be divine. We are mortal, with a hint of HIS Image. We are made in HIS Image….but we are no where close to EVER becoming a god, nor will we ever accomplish this. We can only fight these demons with the help of Jesus Christ.

So, GOD tells us by way of HIS WORD, and HIS Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ that we are capable of many things while we remain upon this rock. but, we are limited.
In Mark, chapter 9…we have the glorious transformation of Jesus Christ, but thereafter we have a very serious matter which few understand. So, let’s get into it…
While Jesus Christ was still on the mountain, we notice the Scribes, not the Pharisees…having a heated discussion. A serious matter was in need of attention and the disciples were discussing it. There seemed to be a dispute…
A man had brought his son who was demon possessed. The spirit had made the boy dumb…now some may think this means he was dull-witted but this was not the case. The demon has made the boy mute.

Mark 9 (KJV)
17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;
18 And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.

We see that this boy must have been oppressed by this demon for some time because the parents are giving examples of the activities which took place. this certainly reminds me of the current situation in our world now…possession is on the rise! No doubt about it. And this lesson could help people recognize what they can do to stop it.
So, the boy would foam at the mouth, grind his teeth, and the spirit would literally toss the boy around like a ragdoll. This demon was manifesting in several ways, and had been doing so for years. The boy was suffering and so were the family. When you live in sin, you live with demons.
But, it seems the disciples were unsuccessful in their attempts to rid the boy of this demon.
Now, we’re to the point of the heated discussion.
Thank GOD for Jesus Christ.

Next verse…
19 He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.
20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.

Considering the fact that the father brought his son for help is undoubtedly why Jesus Christ had to be speaking to the disciples here.
What an emotional response on behalf of Jesus Christ!
The demon immediately responded to Jesus Christ’s presence. Why? Because it knew Jesus Christ has the solution.
Jesus Christ calls his disciples “faithless”. Imagine that…when we think of the disciples, that would be the last thought on our minds. But, the disciples were just like us! They had to be pruned! Only Our Father disciplines His children.

21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.
22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.
23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Amazing! Jesus Christ was not moved by this demon, whatsoever. Jesus Christ is the perfect example of PEACE!
This demon was trying to take this boy’s soul, or at the very least, take his life. You see that’s their goal. Always.

24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

The boy’s father asks, “If you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.
Jesus Christ replied…”If you can?” Jesus Christ then told the man that everything is possible to those who believe.
If we really believe what Jesus Christ said then there would be no obstacle or challenge that would worry us. Instead, we fret, agonize, and even panic over things we should take to Him.
We must straightaway begin to practice this! Let it go, whatever it is. Rehashing it over and over is doing nothing but telling Jesus Christ that we don’t trust Him.

Let’s practice the Word instead of just reading it.

We say we believe, but at the same time we have doubts and effectively…do not believe (as far as our true actions-actions speak louder than words). It is like saying you can ace a test, but you don’t take the test because of fear!
The father of the boy that was before Jesus Christ fights this same battle. He believed, but also declared that his belief needed help. Do you feel that way sometimes? Doubt is another word for fear. We doubt ourselves, and worse…we doubt GOD!

25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.

The crowd reacted. Coming closer out of curiosity, out of fear? Also notice the phrase was changed to the demons was dumb and deaf..but it heard Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ saw this and healed the boy. He commanded the spirit to leave and never return.
Here’s a great lesson-The Bible says that Jesus Christ rebuked the unclean spirit (verse 25). But, it’s amusing to me sometimes I hear people say things like, “I rebuke you in the name of Jesus”…the word rebuke means “an expression of strong disapproval—to reprimand. The Bible says that Jesus Christ rebuked the unclean spirit by saying… He rebuked the unclean spirit by commanding it to leave. He didn’t say, “I rebuke you.” Remember that. Just saying, “I rebuke you in the name of Jesus” is virtually meaningless.
Notice that after the demon was told to leave, it still left violently. This is their nature. There is no love, compassion or anything close to that in demonic entities.
The crowd was stunned. It thought the boy was dead. Another sign of faith under fire! They didn’t believe.

27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.

So, this should remind you of the “Mustard Seed” parable. Ye of little faith….

NOW HERE’S A GOOD LESSON….

28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?
29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

Some demons don’t leave by words alone.

If you feed a demon it will remain. Sin feeds demons.

Also, there are different kinds of fasting.

When Jesus Christ was tempted in the desert…it seems to me that it must have been a fasting of food. For, when Satan made his presence known, he tried to tempt Jesus Christ with….BREAD!

A quick experience…I was ill. I had been having problem with my stomach for a few years and the doctors attributed it to Irritable Bowel Syndrome, maybe even Crohn’s Disease. I had IBS from a young age because of ulcers because I was a heavy drinker. Alcoholism is a nasty disease and it runs in my family. (I do not drink any longer). Well, after the colonoscopy and an upper endoscopy, I was to return to the doctor.
But, I was tired. Tried of being sick, and this was the same time period when I was having surgeries back to back. So, enough was enough. I went onto the internet and looked up old remedies. What was it? FASTING!

So, I went on a 40 day fast. I made it to day 21…that was amazing to me. When I returned to the specialist…he was amazed and said he wished all his patients would do that!
Fasting resets your metabolism. Some say after 5 days…Food is the most addictive substance known to the human species. This is often overlooked, but it is the truth. Fasting is the quickest, cheapest, easiest, and most effective way to cleanse your body of any toxins or disease you want to get rid of.
Bottom line is, fasting can cure almost any disease. In addition to it being a “miracle” cure for many known physical diseases, it has been proven to be successful in treating an array of mental illnesses.

Next, an amazing story..
In Russia, where fasting is referred to as “the hunger cure,” a man named Dr. Yuri Nikolayev has successfully performed fasting treatment on nearly 10,000 mentally ill patients, stating that “seventy percent of those (schizophrenia patients) treated by fasting improved so remarkably that they were able to resume an active life”. His experience now extends to over 6,000+ patients!

There are different kinds of demons.
Ephesians 6 tells us:
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
So, it’s only common sense that it would take more than a regular deliverance to rid yourself of a highly placed demon.

With the clarity of fasting, one can not only draw near to GOD but he could also tap into the origin and reasoning for the presence of the demon.
