The first part of this series began with the logistics of paranormal activity and their meanings. In part two we will cover some much needed facts concerning strongholds.

I think GOD works in cycles and this is exactly how Satan works as well. GOD gives us examples of demonic strongholds within the Bible and how they were dealt with. Satan loves to manipulate man into thinking we are lost and he is the answer by ripping apart our mind. The mind is a battlefield.

Israel was a key factor to this example given above. The nation of Israel and its people fell into disbelief and suffered greatly for it. I believe this is a prime example of the world today. Not only is Satan breaking down our family structures but he’s teaching the younger generations to continue in this vicious cycle.

STRONGHOLDS

Within the objectives of war was a barrier between you and the enemy, and it was a wall. As the population grew and multiplied, they formed cities. This walled city was a successful technique utilized as protection for the people behind it. Breaching this wall became imperative, and as society progressed in its technology this form of protection became useless with the advent of planes and artillery.

Strongholds played an important role and very few armies could successfully defeat an opponent but the select few that did usually conquered its enemy and its territory.

The parallel holds true to the Believer and our objective to remove strongholds. Know your enemy and you can advance! Our enemy is, of course, Satan and his minions.

Strongholds were a physical barrier, but The Bible reveals spiritual manifestations of strongholds are even more important than the material one. Jesus Christ is a prime example of how these are waged and removed.

2corinthians105_810

Spiritually speaking, Paul points out these strongholds;

2 Corinthians 10 (KJV)

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

The flesh is as much our enemy as the demons that use it against us.

What comes to mind here? Like Israel, the U.S. was likened to Israel as a nation who held GOD in high standards but lost that faith and therefore lost its blessings.

If you will read the chapter of Numbers 13, you will see that before the battle even took place on the field, it began in the mind. And the minds of the 10 spies which sent out were controlled by fear.

In 2 Corinthians, Paul talks about:

Physical: acts of disobedience

  • erroneous beliefs, persuasions, and teachings;
  • religious lies and deceptions;
  • false discernment about (the knowledge) of GOD.

Mindsets which keep us in bondage. Strong resistance to the truth is one major characteristic of being under strongholds working through ignorance.

Spiritual: oppression by demons

  • False doctrines;
  • False teachings.

On a demonic level, a stronghold can be defined as an influence or grip; a persistent oppression, obsession, hindrance, or harassment.

Bondage can also mean the state of being under the control of a force or influence or abstract power.

Remember our battlefield is in two constructs; the physical and spiritual….

Ephesians 6:10-18 (KJV)

333

There are two pieces of the Armor of GOD which are utilized as OFFENSIVE weapons; the sword (Word of GOD) and prayer.

Take a personal inventory of your life, your past; present; and future. Where does it stand in relation to your relationship with Jesus Christ? Do you have faith?

Three components are required:

HEARING The Word

COMPREHENDING The Word

BEARING fruit

Thoughts lead to words, words lead to action, action lead to your destiny.

Conduct yourself accordingly!

  1. Prayer
  2. Fasting
  3. Quoting The Word
  4. Obedience to GOD
  5. Live by faith
  6. Love

I know these must sound very simplistic to you but they are what make or break us.

LEGAL RIGHTS – The demonic can take hold or influence a person is through repetitive, unrepentant sin or through an activity that opens a doorway for the demonic to come in.

In reality, the demons are layered in like an onion. The outer layers come out easier. Demons are deceivers. Usually, you will find that the lower rank of demons are on the surface, and the higher ranked are deeply ingrained within the person. The demons MUST ALWAYS BE BOUND, regardless of the status of ones deliverance.

REMEMBER demons are liars and deceivers. The lack of apparent manifestations may be part of the deception.

SPECIAL FORCES

Look at this like your a soldier! You must be armed for battle the very second you open your eyes each day.

Armed for battle, you rise…ready for those fiery darts of Satan and his minions.

Let’s get down to where the rubber really meets the road.

  1. There is NO WAY you can fight the demonic spirits. It can only be done by the grace and power of Jesus Christ. Accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. You must surrender your life to Jesus Christ. Admitting that He paid the price for our sins on the cross. Once you do that, you seal in The Holy Spirit.
  2. You must confess. You must forgive (yourself and others). Confession is hard. It goes against the flesh! Survey your life and behavior and confess of any and all sins, past and present.
  3. Renounce Satan and his minions. Renounce any involvement in the occult, or practices of idolization. Rid your home of any and all objects, and rid yourself of any connections to Satan.
  4. Ask Jesus Christ to help you release demons/evil spirits. Tell them they must leave in the Precious Name of Jesus Christ.
  5. Repeat Daily, if needed.

GOD knows your heart, mind and soul. Seek HIM totally.

Matthew 22 (KJV)

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
