Let’s throw a high five to GOD! You see these lists all over the internet but I wanted to share some thoughts about it. There are many ways to learn to love deeply, to cherish, to admire, to consume one’s life in total, unconditional love. But…true unconditional love is something only GOD can give…but we can try to be like Jesus Christ.

Listen without interrupting
Proverbs 18:24
“A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.”
I remember the traditional saying, “GOD gave us two ears to hear, and one mouth to speak, and this is why we should listen more than we speak.”
Great advice. Not only will it keep you from looking like a fool because we mostly speak before we think, but it’s a great tool to learn. A person who earnestly desires to learn will learn to separate himself from the world.
We can learn a person’s intentions by their actions, more than mere words.

Speak without accusing
James 1:19
“Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:”
So many people use the word ‘you’ in arguments, instead we should learn to use the word “I”. This takes away the defensive mode.
Proverbs 17:1
“Better is a dry morsel, and quietness therewith, than an house full of sacrifices with strife.”
Many things happen in the world and we ask GOD, why? A parent discovers their child has cancer, and blames GOD when that child dies. It’s easy to do. The flesh cries out in anger and judgment. But, if we humble ourselves before GOD, we will begin to realize that GOD has a Plan and everything has a reason. That child has a purpose in heaven with their Father. And GOD may be using this as a strengthening process for the parents at the same time.
We all have faults. No one is perfect except Jesus Christ. With that being said, it’s so easy to point fingers and blame others.
Matthew 7:3 (KJV)
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Give without sparing
Proverbs 21:26 (KJV)
“He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not.”
If we busy our hands with giving, we have less time to be greedy. Money only makes one want more of it, right?
The old saying, “You can’t take anything with you when you die.” IS TRUE.
Matthew 19:24 (KJV)
And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
The “Eye of the Needle” has been claimed to be a gate in Jerusalem, which opened after the main gate was closed at night. A camel could only pass through this smaller gate if it was stooped and had its baggage removed.
When Jesus told the young man in Matthew 19, to sell everything he has…it was hard for him. Why? Because obviously the young man had a large amount of possessions which he treasured. But did he treasure Jesus Christ? Do you? What would you give for Jesus Christ to enter into your life?

Pray without ceasing
Colossians 1:9 (KJV)
“For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;”
It doesn’t matter where you are, how your body is positioned nor what your wearing! PRAY! Never abandon prayer.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (KJV)
16 Rejoice evermore.
17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
This is very important when placed together. GOD is as amazing! Rejoice evermore…pray without ceasing. Think about it! Spurgeon said it best when he said, “The more praying the more rejoicing.” Amen to that. He also said:
Prayer gives a channel to the pent-up sorrows of the soul, they flow away, and in their stead streams of sacred delight pour into the heart. At the same time the more rejoicing the more praying; when the heart is in a quiet condition, and full of joy in the Lord, then also will it be sure to draw nigh unto the Lord in worship. Holy joy and prayer act and react upon each other.
Enough said.

Answer without arguing
Proverbs 17:1
There are some people in this world who feel they must serve the last word. And then, if that were not enough…they would argue with a wall if they could. Let’s just say, when arguing there are NO WINNERS. How does that happen? Well, think about it…if you win, then the other person loses; you lose the other person wins; or you argue until to agree to disagree. Do you understand….it’s a never ending source of spite. Someone will always walk away feeling disappointed, hurt, angry, frustrated and often feeling alone.
There are many ways to resolve an issue without arguing. Open yourself up to the other person’s point of view. Lay down the ‘verbal guns’ and just listen. Instead of focusing on your reply, instead listen. Then, lastly take out the “I” in your argument. This is less offensive and puts yourself in an equal position.

Share without pretending
Ephesians 4:15
“But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:”
Being raised in a Christian home, I was always told, “Everyone gets an equal share”. This made sense to me, even though children tend to want the biggest piece of cake, or largest bowl of ice cream. Human nature, right?
But, to truly act a Jesus would want we need to give without expecting anything in return. Instead of wanting a bigger slice of the pie, gives your’s away! But, again human nature.flesh tells us to ask, “what’s mine?”
I recently did an article on “PAY IT FORWARD”…and this came from a STARBUCKS incident where one person paid for the coffee behind them and it continued for hours until one person didn’t understand the concept, or didn’t care and was greedy.
But, you see this reveals that random acts of kindness do exist and are most often spontaneous. Go out and begin another chain reaction!

Enjoy without complaint
Philippians 2:14-15
“Do all things without murmurings and disputings:”
15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
My first thought was the internet and then driving. The internet is full of people who love to argue, dispute and disagree. True, there are many things in this world to grumble about. The best way to turn your day into a bad one is act this way. Not only that but these kind of emotions rub off onto others. Next thing you know, others around you are acting the same way.
So, why not turn your frown upside down. We have so much to be thankful for! Avoid those who are counterproductive to your walk with GOD. Do or say something to make that person, who’s obviously having a bad day, to smile.
As a server, I know what it means to work for every dime and penny. In fact there are many people out there that don’t realize that server’s only get paid $2 hr! So, if it weren’t for the generosity of others who pay according to your skill set, then we would starve! When I have worked hard to do everything the customer has asked for, and I return to the table after they have left to find a dollar or two….it’s very discouraging. I usually respond with “really!”…but, I don’t let it get the best of me and I tell GOD…I know You will provide. Next thing I know…I’m smiling and then I move on.
I believe in supernatural provision.

Trust without wavering
1st Corinthians 13:7
“Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.”
It’s very easy to lose trust in someone. Words hurt, but actions can tear your world apart. This can lead to a chain reaction if your not careful. But GOD, we can always rely on.
Hebrew 10:23
“So, Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering (doubting); for he is faithful that promised;”
We are told to ‘HOLD FAST’ to that expectation WITHOUT wavering (doubting) – no matter how the outward situation may appear. We should remain confident in GOD! No matter what the case is.
It’s easy to waiver under pressure…it’s hard to remain steady. This is when we take out our Bible and read. then, we pray. So, no matter what comes to pass…
If you study creation and pay close attention, you will begin to appreciate the painstaking details that GOD has performed to make sure that creation in not only beautiful but functional.
GOD has told us that it is those who believe WITHOUT wavering that will SEE the promised blessing manifested in their life.

Forgive without punishing
Colossians 3:13
“Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.”
Many people don’t believe in GOD, and therefore why would they believe in Satan? Much like the judicial process of this world, GOD has His authority within His kingdom. Thus, there are consequences to your behavior!
As Believer’s we have many offenses in this world and Satan is the first one we should think of! After all, he is called, Father of Lies; Prince of the Air; etc….and he wants nothing more than to bring you down to his level. In doing so, he wants you to seek vengeance upon your enemy.Satan uses people like weapons to try and hurt us.
Paul teaches us in 2 Corinthians 10; that though we are in this world, we are not to fight as the world around us. Why? Because the weapons of our warfare are mighty through GOD! We must seek ask GOD to forgive us of our sins and trespasses. This means we have trespassed against someone.
GOD gives us a Code of Conduct. This is the Ten Commandments. We should act accordingly!

promises

Promise without forgetting
Proverbs 13:2
“A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.”
Don’t take your promises lightly! If you say you will do something, then DO IT! Our word traditionally meant something…but what about now?
This is sad but true. There are so many people who break promises…especially to children and these children grown up losing trust in people. I can attest to this. As a child I lost trust in people for many reasons and because of this it’s been a constant battle for me to trust. I held resentment against the one who hurt me. But, as I grew older I realized this is a sin. No one is perfect, except Jesus Christ.
Once you break a promise the people around you begin to lose their respect for you. Integrity means everything. It’s easy to lose trust, it’s hard to gain it back.
